Dawn Pearson is a specialised criminal solicitor at JSP Law where she undertakes a wide range of criminal work including drug and drug related offences, complex fraud, serious sexual offences and proceeds of crime.
After graduating with a 1st class honours in law, Dawn excelled in her solicitor examinations and began specialising in all aspects of criminal law. After completing her training contract she joined a large practice based in Hertfordshire and was invited to become an equity Partner at the age of 27. Dawn was head of the large criminal department in one of the regional offices where she personally undertook many high profile and serious cases including a number of murder trials. Dawn’s experience also includes a very complex drug case which reached the European Court of Human Rights. After a short maternity break she returned to her practice before being invited to join HSCO Solicitors which subsequently merged with JSP Law, a highly specialised criminal practice.
She has many years of experience in all areas of criminal work including appearing regularly at the Magistrates’ Court and following successfully obtaining her higher rights has appeared in the Crown Court since 2006. Dawn’s ability to be both empathetic and analytical means every case she undertakes is conducted with rigour, understanding and the ability to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients. Dawn has experience in both prosecuting and defending and has accumulated a wealth of experience upon which she builds with particular attention to detail in the preparation of every case.
For a number of years Dawn combined her criminal practice with working part time for the legal services commission, peer reviewing other criminal solicitors work. Dawn has also been a Duty Solicitor for many years and is a member of the Law Society.
In her spare time Dawn enjoys the great outdoors, being a keen gardener. She also is an avid Chelsea FC supporter.
