Joanna joined JSP law in March of 2017 having previously practiced in London. Joanna qualified as a Solicitor in 2009 and worked previously with vulnerable adults in a mental health/social welfare setting.
Prior to specialising in criminal law Joanna gained experience in representing clients at the Mental Health Review Tribunal. She was Head of the Youth Court Team at her previous firm and now specialises in Crown Court litigation. Joanna has represented many clients over the years for serious offences such as murder, drug possession and importation, fraud, proceeds of crime, assault and serious sexual offences.
Joanna has many years of experience in representing clients at the Police Station, Magistrates and Crown Court; she has a particular interest in the representing vulnerable defendants in the Crown Court. Joanna also continues to enjoy representing juvenile defendants.
Joanna has previously participated in training junior barristers to build relationships with their instructing solicitors and enjoys mentoring young lawyers entering the profession.

Having recently become a dog parent, Joanna is learning the fundamentals of puppy training. She enjoys challenging DIY projects and upcycling old and tired furniture. Other interests include film and cooking.
